In recent weeks, residents across New Jersey and neighboring states have reported numerous sightings of large drones hovering in the night skies. These mysterious appearances have sparked public concern and prompted investigations by local and federal authorities. Despite the flurry of reports, officials, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, have stated that there is no evidence these drones pose a national security threat. Many sightings are believed to be misidentified manned aircraft or benign drone activities. Nonetheless, the lack of concrete explanations has led to calls for greater transparency and regulatory measures to address the situation.

Why haven't we identified this yet? It reminds me of the movie "Leave the World Behind" (Trailer from Netflix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMVBi_e8o-Y&t=9s).

"Leave the World Behind" is a 2023 apocalyptic psychological thriller directed by Sam Esmail, based on Rumaan Alam's 2020 novel. The film stars Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Myha'la.

The story follows Amanda and Clay Sandford (Roberts and Hawke), who, along with their children Archie and Rose, retreat to a luxurious vacation home on Long Island. Their getaway is disrupted when the homeowners, George "G.H." Scott (Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Myha'la), arrive unexpectedly, citing a massive blackout in the city. With communication networks down and strange occurrences unfolding—such as an oil tanker crashing ashore, herds of deer gathering unnaturally, and unexplained sonic booms—the two families must navigate escalating tensions and uncertainties.

As the situation deteriorates, the families confront mysterious health issues, including Archie's sudden tooth loss, and witness alarming events like planes crashing and flamingos appearing in the pool. The film delves into trust, societal collapse, and the human response to crisis.

In my opinion, it's the best performance of Julia Roberts in her entire career. It's worth watching to see what an incredible actor she is.

The scary part is how accurately it depicts our vulnerability as a nation. These drones and our subsequent lack of response reinforce the overwhelming vulnerabilities in our fragile IT security infrastructure.

I sincerely hope that answers come before we are attacked. There should be an immediate response to this type of scenario. If these are commercially operated drones, then the operators should be held accountable for not coming forward immediately to address this problem.
